Hazells were pleased to see the new letting of 10 Cornhill complete last Friday.
It was particularly exciting to see as we had taken the property right through the process, from freehold advice and sale on behalf of the previous owners, to leasehold advice and successful letting for the new owner!
We were initially instructed by the Sneezum family in 2025 after the two sisters, Liz and Yvonne, had reached the difficult decision to retire. Their family had bought the Cornhill store after the second world war and in the early 1960s, agreed a deal with adjoining owners to redevelop the site to create the National Westminster Bank and number 10. The shop is arranged over ground and basement floors totals almost 2,500 sq ft.
We agreed a sale to a private investor last summer and were kindly retained by them to find a new tenant. We identified and advised the owner on several different options and proceeded with an exciting regional café occupier. Watch this space to see who moves into this store.
As ever, we are grateful to our clients for trusting us with their properties. If we can help you with your commercial property, please do call the Commercial Team on 01284 702626.
