Former Marlows site acquired on behalf of retained clients
Hazells are pleased to announce that they have advised on the successful freehold acquisition of the former Marlows site at Hollow Road in Bury St Edmunds on behalf of retained clients.
The site and buildings were put up for sale last summer shortly before Marlows final closure. There was competitive interest in the site with best offers being sought and we were delighted to successfully advise our client on values and guide them through the acquisition process.
The site extends to approximately 3.2 acres and provides just under 46,000 sq ft of retail warehouse and warehouse buildings as well as covered garden centre space and customer car parking.
Our clients have acquired the site for their own occupation and it is positive news for the town that they will continue to be used for retail purposes. The buildings are scheduled to reopen to the public later this summer and more information will be forthcoming shortly.
