Steel framework is taking shape on two speculative logistics units totalling 350,000 sq ft at Suffolk Park, Bury St Edmunds on the strategic A14 corridor.
The £13m development is being undertaken by developers Jaynic for two units of 147,241 sq ft and 206,491 sq ft respectively on a 19-acre plot which will be ready for occupation in November this year and the developers are ready to talk to potential occupiers.

Ben Oughton, Development Director with Jaynic, comments: “We are pleased with progress on this significant speculative development. Construction began in May and our building contractors, Readie Construction, are on time to deliver the units by November, giving potential occupiers the opportunity to move in at the end of this year. This means we are ahead of the game and believe we are the only scheme in this region that will have warehouses ready to occupy in 2018,” adds Oughton.
Richard Pyatt of Hazells Chartered Surveyors, the Bury St Edmunds based retained agents for Suffolk Park, said: “We have already completed two significant deals at Suffolk Park with a large local occupiers, and these two new speculative units are the next step in the development of the Park. We are now reaching out to the big logistics and other business occupiers seeking representation in the eastern region. These units will be ready for occupation by November and we are keen to speak to occupiers now about their requirements,” added Pyatt.
The development is part of a multi-partner initiative with St Edmundsbury Borough Council and housebuilder Taylor Wimpey to support a range of new and existing businesses in the popular Bury St Edmunds area and to continue to create jobs and prosperity.
