Supporting the BID: ‘Our Bury St Edmunds’

Hazells is proud to announce we are now in support with the Bury St Edmunds BID, Our Bury St Edmunds. Led by Chief Executive Mark Cordell and in collaboration with over 400 other businesses, we will work together to execute 6 main priorities for the town:

  1. Marketing and promotion
  2. Safety and security
  3. Family events
  4. Christmas lights
  5. Welcome environment
  6. Business support

By working in conjunction with partner organisations, the BID has been able to introduce a number of measures that contribute positively to attracting more visitors to the town year on year. Including the ‘free from 3” parking regime every Tuesday in the towns car parks. The annual Food and Drink festival, this year on 26th-27th August, art trails, the Christmas Ice rink and various floral displays which complemented the success of the Anglia in Bloom Gold medal 2016. The BID has had great achievement to date, shown through an impressive 12,000 visitors to the BID website per month and growing. Part of the digital strategy includes a smartphone app, downloaded by over 10,000 users. This success has evolved to two radio shows a month on zackfm and once a month on RWSFM.
