In Spring 2017 the developers Jaynic obtained outline consent across the 114 acre site for 2 million sq ft of B1 and B8 uses. Subsequently Jaynic have submitted a speculative reserved matters planning application for two logistics warehouses providing 150,000 sq ft and 205,000 sq ft respectively, with a target delivery date of Autumn 2018. Work has also recently commenced on the main estate roads and infrastructure to serve the site. Richard Pyatt commented, “we are thrilled with the turn out and positive feedback received from the launch event. The interest shown only goes to underline the significance of the development to both Bury St Edmunds and the wider region.” “Jaynic’s willingness to progress a speculative large logistics scheme demonstrates the significant interest and demand within this market, however we are also exploring some smaller scale speculative schemes which will offer units from 2,000 sq ft an up”.
