Planning Success at Stowupland

Hazells are delighted to announce that a planning appeal has been upheld for the development of 175 dwellings in Stowupland, situated approximately two miles north east of Stowmarket.Acting for the land owners Hazells have been working with national planning promoters Gladman Developments Ltd to promote land adjoining the village’s eastern boundary – comprising approximately 27 acres.The application was for initially 195 dwellings and subsequently reduced to 175 with up to 35% affordable housing. The application was refused by mid Suffolk District Council and the planning appeal was heard at Stowupland village hall during early April. The planning Inspector issued his determination on the 26 May 2016 upholding the appeal for the proposed development.Hazells are currently in discussions with potential developers in the next phase of bringing forward this important development for housing growth in the district.For further information please contact Jonathan Lloyd within our commercial department.
